Rancona i-Mix is a Single Purpose Dressing fungicide giving high levels of disease control in barley including leaf stripe and loose smut.

Beret Gold is a Single Purpose Dressing fungicide that can be used on cereals: wheat, barley and oats. It controls Microdochium nivale, Fusarium culmorum and Septoria nodorum resulting in reductions of Seedling Blight, Stem-Base Browning, Snow Mould and Septoria Seedling Blight and controls seed-borne and soil-borne common Bunt (Tilletia caries).

Vibrance Duo is a product for use on winter wheat, winter and spring barley (co-applied with Rancona I Mix), winter rye, winter triticale and spring oats. This is the first of a new generation of root enhancing seed treatments from Syngenta. It combines fludioxonil the same active ingredient in Beret Gold, with a new SDHI fungicide sedaxane. This fungicide is not systemic, so you can still use two foliar SDHI products for foliar disease control afterwards. Vibrance Duo gives an enhanced level of control of seed-borne diseases such as Microdohium nivale and Fusarium graminearum. The product also gives some control of the strain of Rhizoctonia that can attack cereal roots. Crops treated with Vibrance Duo have longer, more healthy roots and quicker emergence than occurs with most other seed treatments. Crops treated with Vibrance Duo have more tillers and more vigorous growth which helps crops compete with problem weeds like blackgrass. Better cleaner roots, allow crops to find more moisture and nutrients in the soil giving an average yield increase in Syngenta trials of 174 Kg/Ha in winter wheat. Yield increases of up to 500 Kg/Ha in winter wheat have been found on some sites.

Raxil Star is the new version of Raxil which has replaced Raxil Pro for use on winter barley only. Raxil Star contains Fluopyram and the triazole fungicides – Prothioconazole. Raxil Star offers outstanding control of all the important seed-borne diseases including loose smut, leaf stripe, Fusarium and seed-borne net blotch.

Ensure sound establishment in all varieties of wheat and barley – both winter and spring – with Redigo Pro (active substances: prothioconazole and tebuconazole). Gain a healthy crop you can build on for high yield potential, yet with a low application dose. You can also use Redigo Pro on durum wheat, winter and spring oats, rye and triticale.

Latitude is a product purely for Take-all; it needs to be co-applied with other treatments to give protection against seed- and soil-borne diseases. For Take-all prone spots, it is the perfect starting point for a strategy and can give a bigger reduction in the disease over Jockey. Independent trials have shown where Take-all is moderate to severe; Latitude produces better results than Jockey but at extra cost.

Austral Plus is increasing in popularity due to an increase in Wheat Bulb Fly. Austral Plus has replaced Evict and is co-formulated with the same fungicide found in Beret Gold. Austral Plus can be used on winter wheat, barley and early sown spring barley and wheat. Wheat Bulb Fly control is around 80% and also gives good levels of damage caused by Wireworm. Care needs to be taken when drilling, as drilling too deep will reduce the zone of protection and will not protect the seedling up to the soil surface.
The improved formulation used in this product means there are fewer skin/eye irritations which used to occur with Evict. However, PPE should still be used when handling treated seed, especially when filling the drill.

Signal is a seed treatment for the control of Wheat Bulb Fly and reduction of Wireworm. Due to the formula of Signal, it has none of the associated irritations of Austral Plus and allows it to be co-applied with other products such as Redigo Deter or Beret Gold.

Manganese promotes plant vigour helping to produce better plant establishment, better rooting and better disease resistance (especially to Mildew in winter). It promotes winter hardiness and evidence shows there is some help with reduction of Take-all when Manganese is used but not to the same levels as Jockey/Latitude.

Wakil XL controls Downy Mildew, Pythium spp. and Ascochyta spp. in combining and vining peas.
Products to Enhance Rooting
Root enhancing products are becoming very popular and have proved themselves in helping crops to overcome difficult conditions faced by many farmers, such as the drought conditions in spring 2010 and 2011.
Radiate increases the rooting of crops and improves the efficiency of photosynthesis of the plant. Plants grown from seed treated with Radiate are more vigorous and tend to have better root systems helping to overcome drought. Independent trials have shown yield increases of 0.3 – 1.2 T/ha with an average of 0.4 T/ha. In a TAG trial at Docking, Radiate has given 0.57 T/ha yield increase in winter barley.
Start-uP MAXX, Take Off, Kick Off – These treatments contain Phosphite, nitrogen, potassium and amino acid(s). They help to speed up plant emergence, promote vigour, increase rooting potential and improve winter hardiness by ensuring all need nutrients are as the seed site. Yield increases of up to 0.4T/ha are possible, especially on low phosphorous soils.
